The Identity Verification Vendors That Don't Quote a Price

More than half of the field on this site does not publish per-check rates. Here is who they are, why they don't quote, and what it costs you operationally.

Direct answer
Why do so many vendors hide identity verification pricing?
Six of eleven vendors covered on this site do not publish per-check rates. Sterling, HireRight, Accurate Background, and First Advantage focus on Fortune 500 hiring with custom volume contracts. TransUnion ShareAble is the enterprise multifamily product. ID.me and Yoti price reusable credentials tied to NIST assurance level. The common thread: pricing is too sensitive to contract terms and configuration for a single number to be meaningful.

The quote-only roster

Each of the six below has a per-vendor dossier with the same depth as the published-price vendors, but the pricing rows say Quote Only and link to the vendor's own sales contact.

Why we don't republish third-party inferred rates

Listing sites (Vendr, G2, SaaSworthy, Capterra, ITQlick) publish per-check or per-verification rates for quote-only vendors based on user-submitted data and salesperson conversations. These numbers vary materially by buyer size, contract length, and configuration. Republishing them as authoritative would mislead procurement teams into expecting rates the vendor will not actually quote.
